The sold-out 5th Annual Hamels Foundation Diamonds & Denim event filled Vie with more than 500 attendees on Thursday, August 21, including NBA, NHL and Philadelphia Eagles players and country superstar trio, Lady Antebellum. The Philly PR Girl team had the pleasure of attending this exclusive celebrity event presented by Donnelly Distribution.
The Hamels Foundation, founded by Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels and wife Heidi, is dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the power of education by giving them the tools to achieve their own goals. The Diamonds & Denim event raised over $444,000 this year. This money will be used to educational resources for students in Malawi and The United States.
Guests had the opportunity to win diamonds from Denari Jewelers, designer jeans from Denim Habit, and bid on a variety of luxury items from the silent auction, which included various sports memorabilia, as well as fitness, admission tickets, getaways, dining, lifestyle, and beauty packages. Delicious hor d’oeurves, refreshing cocktails and dinner were served throughout the evening.Celebrities attending the event wore their finest denim and sparkles as they hit the red carpet outside of Vie at 6:30 p.m. VIP guests then lined up inside the restaurant to be photographed with Cole and Heidi Hamels by media and photographers.
The night did not stop there, as the charity event’s after-party was open to the public and located at the Zee Bar with a $20 admission fee.
