Monday, August 25th

  • Five Dollar Comedy Week: A week’s worth of laughs from Philadelphia’s funniest comedians. 30 shows, 150 performers, all for $5. For more information, and to reserve your tickets click here. 
  • Birds of Paradise Exhibit: Held at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, this exhibit studies the overall fascinating behavior of birds from all regions. Tickets are $13-$15 dollars and the exhibition is going on through September 1st.  For more information click here! 

Tuesday, August 26th

  • Dog Days of Summer at Hotel Monaco – Free dog washes with a special “dogs & suds” happy hour menu at Red Owl.  Donations will be accepted for a local no-kill shelter  Operation Ava.
  • Young With MS: If  someone you know between the ages of 21-40 years old is living with MS, join the MS Society for the Young With MS fall event at Brauhaus Schmitz located at 718 South Street.  For more information on the event, visit the MS Society website!  

Wednesday, August 27th

  • Twilight Yoga Presented by Pop Up Yoga Philly: All body types and experience levels are invited to participate in this Vinyasa Yoga Class, starting at 8pm. You are encouraged to bring your own mat, and tickets are $10 each, and are required. For more info, and to buy tickets, click here.
  • Phillies Phitness Night: Presented by NovaCare Rehabilitation at Citizens Bank Park, starting at 7:05pm when the Phillies host the Washington Nationals. There is a special discount going on due to the event, $6 ticket discount off of tickets in the Pavilion Deck and Terrace Deck.  To learn more click here!

Thursday, August 28th

  • Philly PR Girl End of Summer Bash: Our MS Society fundraiser is SOLD OUT but don’t worry, we are having an after party that is open to public!   Join us at 9pm at The Cambridge (1508 South St).
  • Food Truck Festivities- Celebrate the end of summer at Franklin Square with outdoor activities, a variety of food trucks, and beer! No tickets necessary, just arrive at 6pm and get ready for some fun! For more information, click here.
  • Philadelphia Career Fair: Hosted by United Career Fairs, you will get the opportunity to meet, face to face, with multiple representatives from a variety of fields like business development, marketing, retail and sales. All level applicants are welcome, and encouraged to mix and mingle! The event starts at 6pm, and is held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Valley Forge. For more information, click here! 

 Friday, August 29th

  •  Girls Night Out – An Art Meets Fashion Shopping Event: Need some fun with the girls? Come and enjoy complimentary wine, treats, and other fun stuff as you shop beautiful, fashionable pieces. Held at Funky Bijou Pop Up Shop from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. VIP tickets are available, and include complimentary mixed drinks and a goodie bag! Bring your girlfriends, and enjoy a fun filled night!   •  Improve Comedy- The N Crowd: The N Crowd is looking to make you laugh on Friday at 8pm. Involving the audience in their performance, there is never a dull moment, and general etiquette is discouraged for this event! Saturday, August 30th

  • 40th Street Summer Series: Go in-depth about music and its meaning, and listen to the Avalon String Band at the 40th Street Summer Series. It starts at 6pm and is located on 40th and Walnut Street. For more info, click here.
  • Made in America Festival: Starting on Saturday, the two-day festival begins on Saturday, and is being held at the Benjamin Franklin Parkway at 12pm and continues on into the night. Clearly, this concert is not one to miss! For more information click here! 

Sunday, August 31st

  • Envoute Presents- A Euro- Kabaret: A comical take on pre-WWII Europe with humorous characters playing roles such as secret police, alluring women, spies and more! Held at L’etage starting at 7pm, this is a fun and unique take on a topic often discussed! For more information, and a cast list, click here!
  • Cannstatter 142st Annual Volksfest: Transport yourself to Germany starting on Saturday August 30th at 1pm, to Monday, September 1st at 7pm. Hosted by the Cannstatter Club which is a German American Society in Philadelphia, you can indulge in German beer, wine, and traditional German food, from people who know their stuff! Admission is $6 for a one-day pass, $9 for a two-day pass, or $11 for admission for all three days! For more information click here!
