If you haven’t heard the commotion downtown, The Philadelphia Auto Show has been set up in 650,000 square feet of the Convention Center. Despite the weather, car enthusiasts and fanatics are piling in to catch the show. For the average spectator, navigating through the 700+ vehicles can be a little overwhelming, but Philly PR Girl is here to help with a “must-see” list. Be sure to check out this amazing showcase of art, culture, and technology before it zooms out of town after this weekend.

Pre-Production Models

Many attendees agree that the best part of any auto show is getting a first look at the unreleased car models. The 2015 models of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible, Ford Mustang, and Lincoln MKC are just a few of the exciting new models.

Exotic Cars

One of the most exciting parts of the Auto Show is getting a look at the luxury cars you don’t see everyday on Broad Street. Expect to see some fancy Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Aston Martin, Maserati, and Porsche. Live vicariously this weekend by getting up close and personal with these swoon-worthy vehicles.

Concept Cars

Think pre-production model…but about 20 years out. Concept cars are futuristic car models that exhibit innovative ideas years ahead of their time. These fun, creative cars are really entertaining to view. They really make you think about what lies ahead for us in the future. I mean, it’s 2014. We were supposed to have hover cars by now, right?

Antique and Collectors’ Cars

For the history buffs and car geeks out there, plenty of vintage vehicles will be at the Auto Show. Antique Automobile Club of America, Simeone Automotive Museum, and Buckingham Concours d’Elegance will feature models as old as the 1886 Patent Motorwagen Replica and 1910 Cadillac Model 30 AAA Racer!

Interactive Events

An awesome part of the show is being able to test drive new models of cars on the streets of Philadelphia. Brands that participating are Kia, Subaru, Cadillac, Chevy, and Toyota. Jeep even features a Camp Jeep obstacle course that shows the 4×4 capabilities of their vehicles.

DUB Show Tour

Every year, DUB Magazine sponsors this show tour. This year will feature Michael Carter Williams’s 2014 Nissan, Kijafa Vick’s 2014 Range Rover, Michael Vick’s 2014 Bentley Flying Spur & 2014 G-Wagon 550, Brandon Boykin’s 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, Jeremy Maclin’s 2012 BMW 650, Trent Cole’s 2012 Lamborghini Aventador, and McCormick Taylor’s 2013 Jaguar F-Type.

Meet and Greet Autograph Signings

Plenty of local Philadelphia faces will be meeting with their fans and signing autographs. Some of the names include former Flyers players Bob Wilson and Bernie Parents, as well as Union players Brian Carroll and Sheanon Williams.

The Philadelphia Auto Show features so many car models and exhibits open for the public to see, touch, and learn about. View them soon before these cars roll out after Sunday! Tickets are $12 and can be bought here.
