Fall in Philly means only one thing: Fashion. This past week, we’ve been running around town celebrating the work of some of the most talented designers in Philadelphia during the 10th annual Philadelphia Fashion Week. (If you follow us on Twitter or Instagram I’m sure you saw!) From September 17-21st, some of the area’s top designers showcased their beautiful clothes and accessories through gala’s, pop-up shops and fashion shows all over the city.

Last night we went to the incredible Crane Arts Building in Northern Liberties to support our friends in Philadelphia Fashion Week as their Ready to Wear Collections were released to the public. The space was gorgeous and crowd bustled with energy as they anxiously awaited the final reveals of 12 different designers’ current collections. From day-wear to evening gowns, the apparel was fashion-forward, innovative and extremely creative with something for everyone. Models of all shapes and sizes were chosen to highlight the true beauty and talent of the designers. (Shout out to the amazing Kia Sterling lead Hair Stylists and Make Up Artist Alexandrea Slider!)

As for our favorites: Michael Thomas, were speechless.  He surely started the night off right with his stunning collection of bright hues, color blocking and metallic silver accents that we could not keep our eyes off of. Extraordinary Gentleman was another favorite collection of the night with edgy menswear pieces that had the perfect amount of bling. The line was comprised of laid-back, polished sweat-suit silhouettes complimented with leather, zippers and a whole lot of gold. Another favorite was one of Macy’s Fashion Incubator Designer, Trisha Williams.   Trisha Williams created the Trisha Will collection to pay homage to her Barbadian heritage.  Finally, we had to give a shout out to Lady Embellishment as her sexy, skin hugging mini dresses were the talk of the evening. She incorporated pointed sleeves, mixing textures and daring colors into this collection and trust me, we could not get enough! Stay tuned for a full recap from the Philadelphia Collection event and Philly Fashion Week!

Stay fashionable, Philly.
