Monday,  October 1st 

  • Restaurant Week Starts!
  • Boobie Bingo at the Irish Pol – The Irish Pol’s annual month-long fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. EVERY Monday night in October, come play a cleavage-filled version of bingo for fun, beers, shots, big prizes, and most importantly to raise money for a LOCAL charity…The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund.
  • Wyclef Jean will be talking about his new book Purpose: An Immigrant’s Story and singing some classic acoustic songs at the Free Library of Philadelphia at 7pm!

Tuesday, October 2nd

  • Vinyl Tuesdays at Underground Arts – Bring your vinyl down and your friends and sign up for a slot to throw down on our sick sound system! Great drink and food specials as well!

Wednesday, October 3rd

  • Stop by the NEW Federal Donuts locations at 1632 Sansom Street!
  • Ben Harper at the Kimmel Center

Thursday, October 4th

  • Chinatown’s Night Market returns! As they say, Go Hungry!

Friday, October 5th – FIRST FRIDAY!

  • Greek Agora  – Food & Wine Festival with live entertainment!  Located at Cherry Hill’s St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church.  (Oct. 4th – 7th)
  • Go Check out OPEN AIR!  http://openairphilly.net/
  • King of Prussia Beerfest Royal (2 Day Brewfest at the KoP Mall Parking Lots!) http://kopbeerfest.com/  The First Annual Beerfest Royale will be a celebration of Pennsylvania craft beer and German beer over two days in two tents with more than 3,000 beer fanatics!

Saturday, October 6th

  • Midtown Village Fall Festival!!! (Noon – 8pm) – This is one of my FAV’s every year!  http://midtownvillage.org/
  • Beer Garden at Smokin’ Bettys – Come hang out in our beer garden for the day and enjoy seasonal brews from Brooklyn, Yards, Saranac and newcomer Evil Genius!
  • Paramour for the SA VA Fall Fashion Event – from 12-2pm at Paramour for the SA VA Fall Fashion Event. Sarah Van Aken will host this exclusive Main Line fashion event to showcase her Fall 2012/2013 line, Harvest Moon from SA VA.
  • Fishtown RiverCity Festival – The festival kicks off at noon with live music, vendors and activities!
  • Sean Paul at The Trocadero Theater
  • Philadelphia Open Studio Tours – A program of The Center for Emerging Visual Artists is the largest tour of artist studios and creative workspaces –  for venues and studios West of Broad Street.  (12-6)
  • La Bohème on the Mall – The Opera Company of Philadelphia presents La Bohème at 7pm at Independence Mall.
  • Grid Up – amateur arm-wrestling competition with a screening of “Over The Top.”  Presented by Dapper Dog, Yards, and Little Baby’s Ice Cream from 5-8pm at Garden Variety (2nd & Poplar)
  • 611 Showroom Opening Event with community cookout.  Fashion, Fun, & a BBQ from 2-5pm at Liberties Walk.

Sunday, October 7th

  • Chestnut Hill Fall’s for the Arts Festival – Each year Chestnut Hill welcomes Autumn with The Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival.  Everyone is invited to enjoy a day of art, music, culinary delights and boutique shopping as Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenues is transformed into an outdoor arts and crafts marketplace from 11am-5pm.
  • Ben Folds Five at The Tower Theater
