Supporting Philly’s Animal Cops who risk their lives daily for our Animals

Pet Support Phasion Charity Affair held a dog fashion show last November, “Pet’s in the City” to raise awareness of the great work the Pennsylvania SPCA Human Law Enforcement Officers.  From the funds raised at this event Pet Support was able to purchase much needed bullet proof vests for the Humane Law Enforcement Officers.  Each vest costs roughly $6,000!  Officer Wayne Smith accepted the vests for the PA SPCA today at a Press Conference held in Rittenhouse Park.

The Press Conference was held by spokesman for the charity District Attorney of Philadelphia Seth Williams and charity founder Greta Russo.   Seth discussed the important work the officers do and the dangerous situations they are put into to save these helpless animals.  Many of us are familiar with these dangerous situation from watching the show Animal Cops which is on Animal Planet and films right here in Philadelphia.

The much anticipated 2nd Annual Philadelphia Dog Fashion show will be this November and they hope to raise money to buy vests for the rest of the officers.  The theme for this fashion show this year will be Angels.  I’m going to start campaigning to get my pooch in the show now!  Great work Pet Supply team!
