One of my Favorite Spots in Philly!

This weekend I checked out the Graffiti Bar!  This hidden little treasure in “Midtown” Philadelphia is in the back of Sampan Restaurant on 13th Street between Walnut and Sansom.

The Graffiti Bar is an open air 30 seat bar and yes I was hanging out there on a Friday night in February, without a jacket, thanks to the lovely heat lamps!   This patio bar opened in April 2010 and has a great happy hour with the same Asian food that Sampan offers.

Sampan has received great reviews much credited to Chef Michael Schulson.   Not to take away from the dinner menu (which has Schulson’s signature dish Edamame Dumplings), but the dessert menu offers Vanilla Fruit Loops Ice Cream & Chocolate Butterfingers Ice Cream!  Enough said right?!?  The inside of the restaurant has a very modern hip feel with a smell that will make you want to order everything off the menu!  I just can’t wait until Spring to sit outside again, either at the Graffiti Bar or at the outside tables out front of Sampan.  Gotta love dining Al Fresco in Philadelphia!
